So happy to be a missionary June 14, 2011

Hey there!
Sorry to worry you yesterday with no e-mail. The lanhouse was was having serious problems yesterday. Today we had zone conference and President authorized us to use the internet today so you don’t have to wait till next Monday to know we’re still alive and well :)
We had a really good week! Aline surprised us last Monday when we invited her to be baptized on the 18th and she asked if she could get baptized this Saturday instead (the 11th). Seeing as she’s been to church the last 3 weeks and has been going to seminary… Sister Silva and I looked at each other, looked back and her and YEP You sure can! We’ve started teaching her younger sisters as well.
We’ve also been teaching Juliano more (to be perfectly honest it’s hard to remember what I’ve told you and what I’ve told president…) but just in case I haven’t mentioned him… He’s a brother of one of the recent converts here, we’ve been teaching him since my first week here. He’s solid for his baptism this Saturday. He’s been really fun to teach. He is the most humble person I have ever met. Their family situation is heartbreaking, he’s been tossed around between mom, dad, older sister, and everywhere in between. The ward has been amazing with bringing him into the ward family. It has been such a neat experience. This Sunday when we went to go pick him up for church he was wearing a white shirt and tie and young man in the ward had given him, I just about cried when I saw him dressed up for the first time in probably his life.
The work is going so well here in Jaçanã! I’ve never felt so unified with my companion and so happy to be a missionary. We’re a bit nervous because transfers are next week (again! this transfer is only 5 weeks…). Elder Warner (AP) pulled me aside today and said I need to write a very forward e-mail to president today telling him how amazing the work is with Sister Silva because we’ve got a lot of new sisters coming into the mission and things are likely to get shaken up a bit. Cross your fingers for us! Obviously if the Lord needs her somewhere else it’s meant to happen but we’re really hoping for at least another transfer together.
1) Aline´s baptism, Juliano is on the far left
2) Farewell to President and Sister Cooley today! In a week I’ll have my 3rd mission president how weird is that?
3) Just for fun :) I love my polka dot sheets Mommy!
Hope you all have a great week!
Love you!
Sister Lund
